Oxfordshire's Homophobia Awareness Liaison Team
is
here to help

What does HALT do?
The team aims to challenge and eliminate all forms of homophobia and to offer support to victims of homophobic abuse.

The partners work together to:
•    identify issues affecting lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender people in Oxfordshire and help to actively address them
•    improve service providers’ awareness about LGBT issues
•    encourage the exchange of information between partners, individuals, groups and service providers
•    ensure crime and disorder partnerships address homophobic abuse
•    raise awareness of personal safety and the help and support that organisations can provide to the LGBT  community
•    support appropriate local and national campaigns

Who are we?
HALT consists of representatives from Oxford's LGBT community, Thames Valley Police, Oxfordshire district and county councils, the Terence Higgins Trust, Oxfordshire NHS, Oxford Brookes and other partner agencies.
